Introduction |
This bike, trek and raft itinerary offers an exclusive experience of Sikkim – the lands, its people, the flora and fauna. The Biking is on proper motorable roads avoiding high traffic routes and meandering through the lush country side and forests. The itinerary has been designed with room for flexibility in the routes (Sikkim has a wide network of motorable roads) and overnight stays. Also a pilot vehicle preceding the group and a back up jeep/ truck will ensure full support to make biking in Sikkim a wonderful experience.

A trek to Menam Peak (10,500 ft) has been included to offer a change in the programme and also because Menam offers a truly fascinating and awesome view of all the four districts of Sikkim.

Bagdogra to Gangtok: 120 kms – Overnight – Hotel Tibet.

Gangtok – Ranka – Martam (Bike) – 29kms.
The first day of biking start with as slight downhill route to a mountains stream and then level before a gradual climb thought Rumtek and then to Martam (5,000 ft). Overnight in Martam Village Resort is an experience of the typical Sikkimese country side with modern facilities.

Day 04 |
Martam – Simchuthang (Bike) : 20 kms – The trail goes through stretches of terraced paddy field and after a downhill ride and again uphill climb. We camp along the bank of Teesta River.

Day 05 |
Simchuthang – Temi (Bike) :26 kms. The route for this day is uphill all the way to Temi (5,50 ft) which is also the only tea garden in Sikkim. Overnight in lodge/ tent near the tea garden.

Day 06 |
Temi – Ravangla (Bike) : 25 kms A gradual climb upto Damthang (7,000 ft) and level and gradual downhill drive to Ravangla (6,500 ft) a small picturesque town of South Sikkim – Overnight in lodge/tent.

Day 07 |
Ravangla – Martam (Trek) : 14 kms. Trek through a dense forest – an experience of the wilderness, as there are no human habitats enroute. The view from Menam Peak (10,500 ft) is the most spectacular and comprehensive that one can get of the Sikkim Himalayas. Overnight tents.

Day 08 |
Menam – Borong (Trek 0 : 12 kms The return from Mena is fairly an easy, downhill walk to Boronmg (6,000ft). Overnight –tents in the village. Camp at the bank of ‘ Singmoteng’ the torquise blue lake at the foot of Mt. Pandim.

Day 09 |
Borong – Tashiding (Bike) Dist:38km.
A level route through Ralang where you can visit the monasteries and a gradual climb to Ravangla. From there it is down hill to the Rangit valley and a 13 km clim to Tashiding. Overnight tents/trekkers hut.

Tashiding- Yuks(Iln (Bike) Dist: 18 km.
A short trek to Monastery, built in the 17th century by Ngadak Sempa Chempo in the form of a Lhakhang, the present day monastry came up during the reign the Chogy at Chadar Namgy at. A Short steep start and fairly level route and finally an uphill to Yuksom. Evening a visit to Norbu Gang Chorten and stone throne of first Chogyal.

Descend to dentam and a gradual climb ending with mild downhill thoughttypical sikkimese Village and a small bazar.
